Simply, young Canadians connect to social causes differently than previous generations. So to modernize the tradition for today’s digital audiences, we launched the Online Moment of Silence. The campaign started with a microsite where users were able to schedule a blank post to their social channels, all of which would be published on November 11, at 11am. Together, all these posts would create a whiteout effect in social feeds, contributing to a digital moment of silence alongside the one happening at Remembrance Day ceremonies across the country.
